A supportive community for homeschooling families.
Three kids. One tired mama. One wild decision.
On a sunny afternoon, as the laughter of her kids filled the air and bubbles splashed out of their backyard blow-up pool, a frustrated mama thought, "They are so happy, but this is so hard… I wish we had a village." She had tried to make it work—finding ways to support her son’s learning, giving him all the attention and love she could, but still, he felt lonely. He longed for the camaraderie of friends, the simple joy of playing alongside others who understood his world.
As for her, that same loneliness crept in. She was a mama trying to do it all—the teaching, the nurturing, the managing of a homeschool life—but in the quiet moments, she felt a deep isolation. The kind of isolation only a homeschooling parent who longs for a real community can understand. No one to share the highs and lows with, no one to chat with over a cup of coffee, no one to turn to for advice or support. She needed a village. They both did.
She searched high and low, but there was no village to be found—not one within their means, not one free from religious sway, and not one that didn’t feel like a MLM initiation waiting to happen. In the emptiness of her search, however, she discovered others just like her—parents who, too, were longing for the support and connection of a village in the vast homeschooling world. Parents who wanted the best for their kids but found that both traditional schooling and aging homeschooling methods just weren’t cutting it anymore.
As the wheels turned in her mind, she realized the growing need in her children and in her heart. On a leap of “what could go wrong?” faith, The Village—a homeschool co-op collective—was born. A place where kids could meet, learn, grow, and stay connected without exorbitant costs, religious agendas, or sales pitches. A safe space where kids could simply be kids, even in an ever-changing world, no matter where life took them.
What makes The Village stand out? We take the best of traditional schooling—the structure, the accountability, and the sense of community—without the rigid limitations that often come with it. In The Village, kids can engage in meaningful, hands-on learning with a flexible, family-first approach that adapts to their needs, interests, and abilities. We believe in fostering curiosity and creativity, providing opportunities for students to thrive at their own pace while still building foundational knowledge and skills. There are no outdated methods here—just real-world, parent-led learning experiences that are engaging and enriching.
So, without further ado, friends—welcome to The Village. A place built for families, by families. Welcome!
